Angelina is passionate about working with children. Her Psychology coursework in adolescent development becomes applied insight in her summer research project. With guidance from her faculty mentor, Dr. Kiren Kahn, Angelina seamlessly integrates her classroom learning into a meaningful real-world project while making a difference in the Memphis ºìÐÓÊÓƵ.
Summer Housing Eligibility
Current ºìÐÓÊÓƵ students who are enrolled and registered full-time for fall 2025 at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ AND are engaging in one of the following summer experiential learning opportunities:
Faculty-sponsored research on campus or in Memphis,
An internship on campus or in Memphis,
Enrolled and registered for ºìÐÓÊÓƵ summer term classes,
Employed at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ for the summer or
Not engaging in a summer opportunity but have received approval from the Director of Residence Life.
Non-ºìÐÓÊÓƵ students participating in faculty-sponsored research are also eligible to live in summer housing. If you have questions about specific circumstances, please get in touch with Aretha Milligan directly at reslifestaff@rhodes.edu
ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Students, non-ºìÐÓÊÓƵ students, and Guests must stay a minimum of five weeks. If the program exceeds five weeks, the rate will be five weeks plus the weekly rate for each week in excess of five weeks.
Summer Housing Location and Rates
Students will be housed in to East Village A, Trezevant Hall, Townsend Hall, Voorhies Hall or Voorhies-Townsend Hall.
For charging purposes, a week is considered Sunday through Saturday. Housing costs will not be pro-rated based on students’ move-in date. If a student resides in summer campus housing earlier or later than the program offers payment, they will be charged the difference to their student account.
Weekly rates are only used for those staying beyond five weeks.

All summer housing charges will be posted on student accounts by June 3, 2025. These bills must be paid before Fall 2024 Enrollment Clearance for ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Students or two weeks before your departure date for non-ºìÐÓÊÓƵ guests. When a summer resident checks out of the residence hall room, all belongings must be removed, and the key must be returned to the Residence Life Office. Summer residents will be charged for items left in the room. Any items left behind will be discarded.
Summer meal plan information will be provided at a later date.
Submitting Summer Housing Application:
ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Students
Log into the using your ºìÐÓÊÓƵ student username and password. Students will select the option to apply for 2025 Summer Housing. Only completed applications will be considered.
Non-ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Students
Complete the and sign the contract.
In the hopes of having the student’s application considered, submit it by Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Applications submitted after this date will be considered based on space availability. The submission of an application does not guarantee approval for summer housing. All students working with departments/offices must submit their housing application. Supervisors may include additional support by emailing student names to the Office of Residence Life for individuals conducting research or working on campus.

Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Housing Placement
Students will be notified about their application status on Friday, April 25, 2025. For those approved for summer housing, assignments will be communicated on Friday, May 2, 2025. Because of the short timeframe, the Office of Residence Life Office determines summer assignments. Summer housing is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Considerations such as spring and fall 2025 housing assignments will be considered.
Students will be placed in double-occupancy spaces with suitemates/apartment mates or roommates. The Office of Residence Life will identify students with other roommate(s). Rooms will be filled to occupancy before additional rooms are opened. Roommates may change throughout the summer. Students are responsible for reading all summer housing terms and conditions information before electronically signing and submitting the application. Students in summer housing must follow all policies outlined in the 2025 Summer Housing contract.
Moving into Summer Housing
Students who are approved to transition from spring housing to summer housing will remain in their spring placement until they move to their summer placement. Students waiting to transition from spring housing to summer housing will stay in their spring housing assignments until the summer assignments are ready.
Students who will transition to summer housing will be charged $155.00 per week for the following:
Sunday, May 11, 2025 - Saturday, May 17, 2025
Sunday, May 18, 2025 - Saturday, May 24, 2025
Move-in will begin Friday, May 23, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. and should be completed by Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. These dates are not flexible, given the number of seniors and the time needed to clean the buildings.
Students who have not completed their move out of their spring assignment into their summer assignment by Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. will incur a $250 daily charge until the move is complete.
Students not currently residing on campus can move into summer housing on Friday, May 23, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Moving Out of Summer Housing/Transitioning into Fall 2025 Housing Placement
Only those students who meet all of the requirements below will be approved to transition from summer housing to fall 2025 housing.
Must be registered as fulltime students for fall 2025
Must have a fall 2025 on-campus housing assignment
Must be in good financial standings with the college
Moving out of summer housing and into Fall 2025, housing placement will occur on two dates.
The First Move-out is scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Residents approved to transition from summer housing into fall housing will start on Friday, July 25, 2025, and must be moved out entirely by Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., unless moving to East Village A, Trezevant Hall, Townsend Hall, Voorhies Hall or Voorhies-Townsend Hall.
Approved residents moving into East Village A, Trezevant Hall, Townsend Hall, Voorhies Hall or Voorhies-Townsend Hall their fall assignments will move Friday, August 1, 2025– to Sunday, August 3, 2025. Due to the cleaning schedule and early arrivals, Residence Life and Physical Plant cannot be flexible about dates. Students who transition from summer to fall placements will be charged a $155.00 fee per week for:
Sunday, July 27-August 2
August 3-August 9
August 10-August 16.
Students’ accounts will be adjusted accordingly if they are approved for Early Arrival.
Students who have not completed their move out of their summer assignment into their fall assignment by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, if you are not living in East Village A, Trezevant Hall, Townsend Hall, Voorhies Hall or Voorhies-Townsend Hall or by Sunday, August 3, 2025, if you are living in East Village A, Trezevant Hall, Townsend Hall, Voorhies Hall or Voorhies-Townsend Hall will incur a $250 daily charge until the move is complete.
Storage
Residents are prohibited from storing their belongings on campus without being in residence. If the item(s) is not removed by the student’s move-out date, it will be removed, and the student will be charged.
