ºìÐÓÊÓƵ College is proud to support active duty service members, veterans, and their dependents. Through a partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), ºìÐÓÊÓƵ College currently participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program and administers several VA education benefit programs including the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, Survivors & Dependents Assistance (DEA), and Selected Reserve.
Additionally, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ provides opportunities for students to participate in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, in cooperation with the University of Memphis and the Departments of Air Force, Army, and Navy, has crosstown agreements that allow ºìÐÓÊÓƵ students to enroll in Aerospace Studies (Air Force ROTC), Military Science (Army ROTC), and Naval Science (Navy ROTC) at the University of Memphis. Upon successful completion of the ROTC program and undergraduate ºìÐÓÊÓƵ degree, the student receives a commission as a second lieutenant or an ensign in the appropriate military service.
On July 4, 2013, the Red, Black and True ºìÐÓÊÓƵ alumni chapter was established to honor and engage those graduates who serve or have served in the armed forces. The goals of this chapter include: connecting current military alumni with former military alumni as they transition to civilian careers; documenting the military service of our alumni with the aim of cataloging their achievements in order to tell the story of "I am ºìÐÓÊÓƵ" from a military perspective; holding special reunion events at Homecoming; and, establishing a mentoring program to pair young military members with their more experienced peers.
