Business Internships

Academic internships are part of an academic course where students work 10 hours without pay and simultaneously attend BUS 460. More information about Business internships is available through Career Services.

The Morelle Legg International Internship  This scholarship is awarded to a junior major in the Department of Business or the Department of Economics to allow the student to obtain work experience in a foreign country during the summer following his/her junior year. The selection committee considers factors such as overall and major grade point average, completion of relevant business courses, and language skills in evaluating candidates. This is a merit-based scholarship funded by an anonymous donor. In the summer of 2015, Emily Rizer interned in Milan, Italy.

The Theodore William Eckels International Business Internships This scholarship is awarded annually to several outstanding sophomore or junior declared majors in the Department of Business or the Department of Economics to allow the students to obtain work experience in a foreign country during the summer. The selection committee considers factors such as overall and major grade point average, completion of relevant business courses, and language skills in evaluating candidates. This is a merit-based scholarship named in honor of business leader Theodore Williams Eckels.
